JAZZ & LYRICAL

Jazz is based on elements of ballet and modern dance. At Broadway Bound our dancers will focus on proper dance technique, gaining strength, flexibility, endurance and coordination. In order to excel in jazz, we believe dancers need a strong background in ballet as it promotes grace and balance. Therefore, a ballet class is required while taking jazz.
 

Lyrical is a dance style combining the many technical elements of classical ballet with the freedom, fluidity and expressiveness of jazz, contemporary and modern dance. It is focused on conveying musicality and emotion through movement and often tells a story. Dancers are encouraged to explore their emotions and movement through improvisation. A strong ballet and jazz foundation enhances the quality of movement.
